The iron pole had been completely broken from one side at its base and was leaning dangerously, raising fears among local residents of a possible major accident. Concerned citizens had been apprehensive for days, as the condition of the pole suggested that it could collapse at any time.
The issue gained significant attention after a video showing the damaged pole went viral on social media. Following the widespread circulation of the footage, a BSNL team reached the site to inspect the structure and assess the situation.
After conducting an inspection, the concerned department decided to remove the pole in view of the safety risks. On Wednesday, the departmental team arrived at the location and completed the removal operation.
Residents of the area expressed satisfaction over the action taken by the department. Prominent entrepreneur Vipul Bhatnagar thanked both the department and the media for drawing attention to the issue. He stated that the condition of the pole was extremely poor and that it could have collapsed at any moment. According to him, timely intervention helped avert a potential accident.
With the damaged pole now removed, local residents have expressed relief, and the atmosphere of fear that had prevailed in the area has come to an end. The swift action taken after the viral video has been viewed as a crucial step in preventing a possible mishap and ensuring public safety.
